Since her debut project Jess Goes West,‘ Céline has written and acted in comedy shorts. Her satirical mockumentary ‘The Wapidemic’ was screened at Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2021, as part “A New Generation of South African Filmmakers” curated by Girls in Film SA. In 2023, she wrote the award-winning short for the Girls in Film x OTV film race #BraveFutures. Céline’s TV Drama pitch was selected for the first cohort of the EMERGE Story Workshop, where she was mentored by Africa’s first Netflix-trained Development Executive Ololade Okedare. This year, her black comedy short film script Surprise! was selected for the Queer Writers Incubator mentorship programme that produced the film with funding from the National Film and Video Foundation.
